Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 1 August 2026

Plain version: GreenWick makes money when readers open accounts with some of the brokers and tools we review. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change what we write.

How this site is funded

GreenWick is free to read and carries no display advertising. It is funded through affiliate partnerships. When you follow certain links on this site and go on to open an account, subscribe to a platform, or fund a deposit, the company may pay us a referral fee.

You never pay more because of this. Referral fees come out of the company’s marketing budget, not your account. In some cases partner links carry a signup bonus that is better than the one available by going direct.

Which links are paid

Any outbound link to a broker or software provider on this site should be assumed to be a commercial link unless stated otherwise. That includes the buttons on our broker review pages, the cards on the Brokers and Tools pages, and links inside our free lessons and downloads.

Some links are not paid — a number of the companies we cover either have no affiliate programme or have one we have not joined. We do not treat those companies differently.

How we keep the reviews honest

This is the part that matters, so here is exactly how we work:

  • Payment does not buy a rating. No company can pay to be included, to be ranked higher, or to have criticism removed. Our scores are set before any commercial conversation and are not shared with partners in advance.
  • We cover brokers we earn nothing from. If a broker is the right answer for a particular type of trader, it appears in our rankings whether or not we are paid for it.
  • The cons are real. Every review carries a genuine list of drawbacks. If a broker is a poor fit for you, we would rather say so than collect a referral fee on an account you close in a month.
  • Ratings are based on published terms and hands-on use. Fees, minimums, data costs, routing and account types are taken from each provider’s own published documentation and checked periodically. Where our assessment is based on documentation rather than a funded account, we say so on the page.

Why we disclose this so prominently

Trading content is full of sites that rank whoever pays the most and never mention it. We think you should be able to weigh our recommendations knowing exactly how we are paid, which is why this disclosure appears on every review page rather than buried in a footer.

This disclosure is made in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255) and equivalent advertising standards elsewhere.

What this is not

Nothing on GreenWick is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and no broker recommendation is a recommendation to trade. Please read our Disclaimer and Risk Warning before acting on anything you read here.
